Ever since I can remember I have always worked with my hands. I have created everything from sewing to tole painting projects.
Then a few years ago I attended a jewelry party. Fortunately for me, all the bracelets were too large. That was the beginning of my adventure.
I fell in love with wire… the feel, the textures, the way it has a mind of its own. In 2013, another artist suggested that I try dichroic glass jewelry. I had never heard of it, and not only that, it took me two weeks to pronounce it! I took a leap and jumped into a whole new world of glass.
Then it is fired in a kiln. When I open the kiln lid it is always a pleasant surprise. I never know how they will turn out. A rainbow of shiny colors is just waiting for the finishing touches.
What do you see in the dichroic glass? Step in and let your imagination run wild!
