Hi! I am a lifelong artist and huge watercolor fan, though I do some acrylics and pastels as well. Watercolor is by far the most challenging and rewarding medium of the three. A fellow high school reunion friend said that he could remember me doodling in class constantly. (Hopefully I was paying attention too). I received an art minor from NAU while majoring in education. After retirement from teaching I jumped on the art bandwagon full time, taking numerous workshops from nationally known artists.
Now I'm teaching art myself occasionally and entering plein air competitions but mainly loving the process of creating. I've received numerous awards but the biggest reward is seeing a painting go home with someone who is excited about it. Since I've lived in Flagstaff beginning in l962, most of my subject matter is found among the landscapes and people of Northern Arizona.
